apulSoft apTrigga3 is an audio insert effect plugin to detect trigger events on its input signal which are used to add or replace sounds. It has extensive sample management features, flexible synthesizer layers with multiple envelopes and a modulation section with per sample modulation of most parameters. Input layers process the input audio using the sampler engine and transform apTrigga3 into a percussive sound effects processor.
apTrigga3 features an input filter section with built-in frequency analyzer and configurable filter bands to shape the input signal.

apulSoft apQualizr2 is an equalizer audio plugin. Filter bands can be graphically edited on top of a frequency analyzer display. The module tray enables module-based modulation of various filter parameters.
apQualizr2 can be used for all standard EQ applications. It can create modulation and dynamics effects thanks to the included dynamics and super-flexible LFO modules. The built-in midi module provides midi control of most things.

apulSoft apShaper is an audio effect plugin to add harmonic distortion to audio signals. It combines a waveshaper with three filter bands and various modulation options – two LFOs, two dynamics detectors (with sidechain option), and user-configurable knobs.
apShaper can simulate multiple types of distortion, including tape and tube saturation, wave folding, and analog bit crushing.
The three filter bands offer high-quality filtering without high-frequency squeezing. The variable-slope low-pass filter type provides smooth slopes not possible with traditional filtering – ideal for gently shaping signals with large amounts of distortion applied. Multiple tone control filter types modelled after classic circuits allow classic bass/mid/treble tone shaping.
Distortion without digital artifacts
apShaper uses sophisticated algorithms to reduce the main problem of digital distortion – unwanted inharmonic noise. It performs analog waveshaping using integration, applying the distortion to a continuous model of the audio signal. This reduces digital artifacts more effectively than traditional oversampling, especially when the transfer curve is not smooth (hard clipping/wavefolding/bitcrushing).

apulSoft apUnmask is an audio plugin to amplify components of the audio that are psychoacoustically masked by other components.
To achieve this, apUnmask uses parts of the detector algorithm of the opus high-quality audio compression codec. Signal components that would get removed by compression are extracted. These can normally not be heard as they are masked by louder components in time and frequency. apUnmask enables amplifying and sculpting the masked content and adding it to the music.
To shape the frequencies of the extracted signal, it is fed through a linear phase graphical equalizer. It features a bezier curve smoothed frequency response without overshoot.
The result is a form of hyperrealistic audio. The process helps the listener to hear more aspects of the music at the same time. apUnmask can be used as a mastering effect or as an intelligent exciter for single instruments.
Improving Sound Using Audio Compression
Normally, lossy audio compression just removes things. Decades of research have lead to clever algorithms to detect what can be taken away without the listener noticing – all to save on data size. With apUnmask, you can use this research power to your benefit, extracting and amplifying those signals to help the listener’s ears hear more.
Suggested Workflow
Insert apUnmask on the master track or an individual track to be enhanced.
Adjust the master gain until a reasonable amount of delta signal is visible.
Toggle the delta listen button to hear the “ghostly” sound what would be removed by the opus codec. This is what normally lives in the shadows of your music.
Experiment with the resolution knob to find the most interesting components.

apVerb is an audio plugin to create algorithmic reverbs with exceptional smoothness and flexibility. The plugin generates reverb from thousands of semi-randomly spaced delay lines – inspired by a recently invented form of noise called ‘velvet noise’.
The carefully spaced delays offer resonance-free reverb tails that can surpass the smoothness, flexibility and stereo width of traditional reverb algorithms. The delay lines are processed by filters and effects to achieve all kinds of reverbs and innovative effects.
